Aqua/Allison Island Residence Two

With the idea of having an apartment for the owner and a separate apartment for their guests, we fused two apartments, located in the Gorlin Condominium at Aqua/Allison Island, by providing interior and balcony furnishings that are a play of dueling floors. One apartment contains ipe wood, while the other is composite flooring resembling concrete or stone. A dialogue of cool on cool and warm on warm with the furniture color and texture create a dialogue with the floor finishes providing more natural tones and hues with the ipe while boldly utilizing color accents with the composite flooring. In addition, the area rugs are hand dyed and custom colored and provide a middle ground between objects and floor finish.
