SUNRISE PARK

Hallandale Beach, FL

Sunrise Park, a half-acre gem nestled in a residential neighborhood of Hallandale Beach, was designed with extensive community input gathered through outreach sessions. The park features a diverse range of amenities, including a playground, a vita course, extreme fitness equipment, a splash pad, a game plaza, an open lawn, a butterfly garden, a berm, and a restroom facility.

The park's landscape design draws inspiration from the coontie butterfly, a native species of the area. This theme is reflected in the architectural design of the restroom facility and shade structures. To create a unique identity for the park, the City selected pink as the signature color, which is echoed in the planting palette and the play surface, enhancing the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
