biscayne totem

Biscayne Totem explores architecture as an adaptable system of structure, circulation, and prefabricated inhabitable components. A steel armature supports a collection of biomorphic pods connected by exposed stairs, bridges, and platforms, creating a vertical public promenade above the water. Drawing from the experimental optimism of 1960s systems architecture, the project contrasts technological assembly with organic form, transforming marine infrastructure into a whimsical civic landmark. Neither conventional building nor autonomous sculpture, it is conceived as an evolving framework for occupation, observation, and play.
